Do we ask for deposits? — Yes, we ask for a deposit of 30% of the value of your booking payable by either credit/debit card, cheque or postal order. We ask that we receive this within 7 days of your booking at which point we will write to you confirming your reservation. Until confirmed all bookings are provisional.
What if I need to cancel? — If you cancel your reservation within 21 days of the confirmed date of arrival and we are unable to re-let the room, we reserve the right to make a cancellation charge of £25.00 per person. Cancellations more than 21 days prior to arrival do not incur a cancellation charge.
What time can I check in and out? — Check in time is from 2pm onwards or earlier by prior arrangement. We would ask that you vacate your room by 10.30am on your day of departure.
What about dogs? — We love them, and you will find the information you require on our Pets page.
Do you have a licence? — Sorry we do not. However the very excellent bar at the Glen Hotel is only a 2 minute walk away.
What time is breakfast? — We serve breakfast between 8.00 & 9.00am on Monday to Saturday and 8.30 & 9.30am on Sunday.
What is your policy on mobile phones? — Mobile phones are wonderful things but, to avoid disturbing other guests, we would ask that they are completely switched off in our public areas and only used in the privacy of your bedroom. If there is a possibility that you may need to be contacted urgently by someone while you are staying with us, please give them our telephone number (01540 673675) and, should they call, we will come and get you.
Do you have anywhere I can smoke? — Unfortunately the simple answer is no. In line with new legislation in Scotland we do not offer any facilities in the house for guests who wish to smoke. We would ask all our guests to respect our wishes on this sensitive issue.
